1. Browser Preferences and Cookies

ViewShift stores reading and consent preferences in your browser. Advertising choices control whether supported third-party advertising integrations may load. Essential account and service functions use their own authentication and storage mechanisms.

2. What We Collect

Account records include your username, email address, password hash and verification status. The service also stores account preferences, saved articles, reading progress, feedback and usage records. Display preferences such as fonts and themes are stored in your browser.

Submitted article URLs, extracted source text and generated versions are stored to support reading, cached results and source comparison. The service retains source snapshots and operational records for generation, validation, accounting and administration. Transformation requests are not processed only ephemerally.

3. Third-Party Sharing

Generating content sends source text and transformation instructions to the configured AI provider. Account verification uses the configured email provider. Provider retention and use of submitted data depend on the selected service, account terms and settings; this page does not promise zero retention or that every provider excludes inputs from training. Do not submit confidential or sensitive material unless you are authorized to share it with those services.
